Moen to Compete at USA 20k Championships
in New Haven on
Labor Day
Minneapolis/St. Paul -
Sept. 2, 2010 - Team USA Minnesota's Josh Moen
will head to New Haven, Conn., this weekend
to compete in the USA 20k Championships for men and
women on Labor Day. The race is hosted by the
32nd annual Stratton Faxon New Haven 20k, which has
been the site of the national championship for men
since 1993 and for women since 2001.
This will be Moen's third
appearance at the 20k Championships having also
competed in the 2006 and 2007 races. He has a
best in the 10 mile of 46:38 which he set last October
at the USA Men's 10 Mile Championship where he
finished second; and a best in the half marathon of
1:02:52, which he set in January at the USA Half
Marathon Championships for sixth place.
Most recently, Moen
competed in the USA Outdoor Track & Field
Championships in Des Moines in late June where he ran
the 10,000 meters. He is preparing for the USA
Men's Marathon Championship which will be held at Twin
Cities on Oct. 3.
The 20k Championships
begin at 8:15 a.m. (Eastern) on Sept. 6 and will be
webcast live at www.runnerspace.com.
