The Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run Dubbed
“The Best Kept Secret” by Bart Yasso, Runner’s World Magazine
Savannah, GA – The Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run has earned Savannah the praises of yet another well-known critic. In the just released book “My Life on the Run: The Wit, Wisdom and Insights of a Road Racing Icon” Author Bart Yasso published his list of “Must-Do Races Near and Abroad.” Yasso lists 23 of his favorite races in the world giving each race a unique title. In that exclusive list Yasso dubbed the Savannah River Bridge Run as “The Best Kept Secret.”
“The addition in the book was a big surprise,” said Robert Espinoza, Race Director “but it’s always something you look for when you’re putting on an event. It’s that extra kick that takes the run to the next level. And being selected one of the destination races in Bart Yasso’s book puts us in some pretty elite company.”
Yasso went on to say, “This challenging course goes out and back over Savannah Bridge, a 600-foot span. Savannah drips with Southern charm…The city is full of quaint shops, first-rate restaurants and a lively nightlife…But the nicest part is the people, who practice Southern hospitality with the same devotion as the original inhabitants.”
Dubbed the “Mayor of Running,” Yasso is one of the most respected figures in the sport of running. Yasso currently serves at the Chief Running Office of Runner’s World Magazine and he has completed more than 1,000 races, triathlons, biathlons, and eco-challenges over the past 25 years.
